Title: Treasury Futures Overview
Post by: Pallas_Boreas on 2026-Sep-21, 17:20:05
QuoteLet's begin by looking at a Treasury Futures contract with zero fixed income or futures knowledge. All we know about interest rates are that CNBC has a weird Percentage Number next to "10 Years" (https://www.cnbc.com/quotes/US10Y) that is somehow important. Recent narratives keep brining up terms like "SOFR", "T Bills", "Yield Curve", "Long Duration" which make no sense, never have those terms come up with your trades in the stock market. Any attempt to learn about the concept is always in vain, usually some math-wiz quant type explaining post-Calculus formulas you somehow needed to know, making the subject feel inaccessible.
